Eastern Beer in the Western World

Kirin Light. To be honest, it tasted like the combination of Asahii and Sapporo to me - It was dry, lightly citrus-like, and light, probably due to what I considered to be micro carbonation. I had it with sushi; It wasn't too strong on the hops or malt, and it was 95 cals per bottle!

As for the story behind this bad boy: It was still March, I was still in Chicago, I still had a tour guide, and this was breakfast.

The sign on a restaurant door nearby read "BYOB". This caught my eye. Are these Chicagonians living the dream? Bring your own beer to the restaurant, and have paid beer store prices? ...I immediately started considering moving to Chicago.
